Roy S. MalpassRoy S. Malpass received his Ph.D. in psychology from Syracuse University in 1968. He is Professor of Psychology and Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).

Professor Malpass was the founding president of the Psychology and Law Division of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), and served as executive director of the Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition (SARMAC). He has served on the editorial board of Law and Human Behavior, Behavior Science Research, and the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, and was editor of the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology.

Dr. Malpass has published research on many aspects of eyewitness identification since 1969.
