Pittsburgh Attractions
If you haven't seen Pittsburgh lately, you haven't seen Pittsburgh. Once the industrial hub for steel, iron and glass production, Pittsburgh is now a center for technology, robotics, medicine and tourism. Today Pittsburgh's skies and its famous rivers are clean, so clean in fact the city hosted the 2005 Bassmaster Classic, one of the largest fishing tournaments in the world.
The city is known for its vibrant cultural scene, its architecture and its neighborhood charm, as well as more than $2 billion in new developments, including the new David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the world's largest certified "green" building.
